Working in Partnership

EduActive CIC works collaboratively with schools, local authorities, and community organisations to deliver tailored, high-impact support for young people. Through flexible, outcome-focused partnerships, we complement existing provision, respond to local needs, and help learners re-engage, develop confidence, and prepare for positive futures.

Cohesive learning and social integration

A key goal of our alternative education provision is to reduce behavioural incidents that disrupt learning and social integration. We work closely with young people to identify the root causes of challenging behaviours, which may be linked to unmet emotional or educational needs. Through personalised behaviour management plans, we provide students with the tools to understand and manage their emotions, reducing outbursts and disruptive actions.

Our approach includes positive reinforcement, clear expectations, and a consistent framework for addressing behaviour. This system encourages students to take responsibility for their actions and understand the consequences of their behaviour in a safe and supportive environment. As a result, we have seen a significant reduction in disruptive behaviours, enabling students to focus more on their education and personal growth.

Improving Attendance and Punctuality

Attendance and punctuality are often major issues for young people with SEND and SEMH needs, especially when they feel disconnected from school or struggle with social anxiety.

At EduActive, we create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that encourages students to attend school regularly. Through our mentorship program, students are given consistent support to help them overcome barriers to attendance, such as anxiety, lack of motivation, or social difficulties.

We work with students and their families to establish routines that promote punctuality and regular attendance, reinforcing the importance of consistency in achieving long-term success. As a result, many of our students demonstrate improvements in both attendance and punctuality, which are key indicators of future academic success.

Strengthening Positive Peer Relationships

Social skills and peer relationships are often an area of difficulty for young people with SEND and SEMH needs. These young people may struggle to connect with others, leading to feelings of isolation and loneliness. Our alternative education provision focuses on fostering positive peer relationships through collaborative activities, team-building exercises, and group projects.

By providing structured opportunities for social interaction, we help students develop the skills needed to form healthy friendships, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts constructively. This not only improves their ability to engage in the classroom but also boosts their confidence in social situations outside of school. Building strong, supportive relationships with peers is a crucial aspect of overall wellbeing, and we aim to help our students feel connected, supported, and valued within their peer groups.

Encouraging Responsibility and Accountability

Our approach to behaviour management encourages young people to take ownership of their actions and learn the importance of personal responsibility. By setting clear expectations and offering consistent support, students begin to understand the impact of their behaviour on themselves and others.

This process of self-reflection and accountability helps foster a greater sense of responsibility, which is vital for both academic success and personal growth.

Students are encouraged to set personal goals, track their progress, and reflect on their achievements, which builds their confidence and reinforces a growth mindset. Through mentorship and guidance, we help students develop a strong sense of responsibility for their actions, promoting positive behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.
