Wigan & Leigh, UK — Eduactive CIC is proud to announce the launch of The Wigan Youth Hub Project, funded by the Million Hours Fund, a joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

Over the next 12 months, this community-led programme will work to create safer and more resilient communities by expanding anti-social behaviour (ASB) targeted youth provision across five key hotspot areas in Wigan and Leigh.

The Wigan Youth Hub Project will deliver a range of sport and enrichment activities, bespoke mentoring, and education workshops focusing on ASB-related issues such as knife crime awareness. These activities will help young people build confidence, improve positive community engagement, and develop stronger relationships with peers, families, and trusted adults — while offering safe spaces and positive alternatives.

“Funding from the Million Hours Fund has helped us to expand our ASB-targeted youth provision across Wigan and Leigh, giving young people more places to go and positive things to do. Thanks to the government and The National Lottery Community Fund for making this possible.”

Eduactive CIC would like to thank the government, @TNLComFund / @TNLCommunityFund / @tnlcommunityfund (The National Lottery Community Fund) and @DCMS / @dcmsgovuk (Department for Culture, Media and Sport) for their support in making this vital youth work possible.

About the Funding

The Million Hours Fund is a £19 million joint investment between The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, delivering over a million additional hours of youth work in areas with high rates of anti-social behaviour. It gives young people more places to go and positive things to do.

Eduactive CIC looks forward to sharing updates on the project’s impact and continuing to work alongside young people, families, and communities across Wigan and Leigh.
