EduActive have so many exciting projects running throughout 2024 that includes Wild Boar Park visits for all ages. Events to bring people together and so many opportunities for collaboration. We are proud to provide the following services:

SEN support: Supporting adults with learning difficulties/mental health in the community on supported volunteering, work placements and Short Breaks services. We are passionate about creating a bespoke service for each & every person that works with EduActive.

By providing a robust short breaks offer we aim to achieve the following:

  • Children and young people with a disability have opportunities to enhance their social networks and friendships

  • Children and young people with a disability have opportunities to enjoy themselves, have new experiences and fulfil their potential

  • Parents have opportunities to have a break from their caring role

  • Parents feel confident that the people providing the short breaks can meet their child’s needs

  • Parents are better able to manage the issues associated with caring for a child or young person with a disability.

Enrichment: Partnership work with Bowland Wild Boar ParkSituated in the heart of the Forest of Bowland an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Bowland Wild Boar Park is a short distance from the picturesque village of Chipping. Surrounded by fells and woodland and sat on the banks of the river Hodder, it is a delightful place to enjoy the countryside and local wildlife, have fun in the fresh air and take time out from the hustle and bustle whilst having lots of different activities for the kids to do. EduActive can create a compressive package for families, sporting teams and groups of friends that will encourage team work, communication and mainly FUN. These unique packages are tailored to the needs of the groups with day visit and over night stays are accommodated for.

Youth Work: Educated and Active! A comprehensive 12 week programme to engage young people aged 11 to 14 in crime prevention work in the classroom, local community, and with their families. EduActive Coaches will deliver the project within their local authority area, promoting positive, aspirational messages to large groups of young people through to targeted interventions for those identified as high risk of engaging in crime.

The Educate and Active programme aims to promote self-esteem, communication skills, teamwork and wellbeing both in the young person and their immediate family. This will be done through a three-strand approach, with a variety of sessions and partners involved in the delivery of each. We believe that we can positively engage the participants, partly using sport and the power of the club’s we are working with, to have an increased awareness of the importance of unity in their local community and consequently be better citizens within it.
